This page is currently under construction. You can edit the article to help completing it. Collie (GL-X300B) is a 4G LTE gateway designed for industrial use. It has an aluminum alloy exterior, supports RS485 interface, and includes external antennas for an extended connectivity range. Collie is designed for industrial deployment under harsh and hazardous environments or remote locations with minimal network infrastructure. GL-X300B has two models: GLX300B-RS485 comes with a RS485 interface and two antennas, and GL-X300B-IoT comes with an IoT module and three antennas. Facilitating Secure IoT Communications Collie provices a reliable network for heavy-duty IoT devices in an industrial environment, such as mass deployment of logistical drones, chemical equipment in laboratories, high-temperature manufacturing equipments, etc. Collie has a built-in hardware watchdog, detecting and recovering from connection errors, enhancing network reliability.\ Apart from its powerful built-in firewall, Collie is also pre-installed with OpenVPN and WireGuard, supporting 30+ VPN services. By enabling VPN, Collie automatically encrypts data traffic for all devices within the network, protecting sensitive personal information and client data. All of GL.iNet’s OpenWrt devices can be easily customizable using our user-friendly ImageBuilder. Users can easily optimise the OpenWrt firmware for specific use, or develop unique applications. Note: It is important that you put the firmware image into the ramdisk (/tmp) before you start flashing. Login as root via SSH on 192.168.8.1, then enter the following commands: cd /tmp wget http://download.gl-inet.com/firmware/x300b/release/openwrt-x300b-3.203-0701.bin sysupgrade /tmp/openwrt-x300b-3.203-0701.bin Upgrade via uboot Please refer to the link: https://docs.gl-inet.com/en/3/troubleshooting/debrick/ Failsafe mode → failsafe_and_factory_reset Reset Button On devices with a physical reset button, OpenWrt can be reset to default settings without serial or SSH access. Power on the device and wait for the status led to stop flashing (or go into failsafe mode, as described above). Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds. Release the reset button. The device will do a hard factory reset (see below) and then reboot. This operation can be slow on some devices, so wait a few minutes before connecting again. Soft Factory Reset If you want a clean slate, there’s no need to flash again; just enter the following commands. Your device's settings will be reset to defaults like when OpenWrt was first installed. Issuing firstboot or jffs2reset command will attempt to delete all files from the jffs2 overlay partition. Note that this “soft reset” is performed with file system actions, so in some cases it is not enough. firstboot && reboot now Note: If the commands above (all on one line) don't work, try those commands on separate lines in the terminal. Note: for most routers, “firstboot” actually just issues a “jffs2reset” command, so there is not much difference compared to the “hard reset” advice below. Note: if you're issuing this command inside a bash script, remember to add the option -y to force firstboot: firstboot -y && reboot now Basic configuration → Basic configuration After flashing, proceed with this. Set up your Internet connection, configure wireless, configure USB port, etc. Specific Configuration Network interfaces Base on the OpenWrt firmware, the default network configuration is: Interface Name Description Default configuration br-lan LAN & WiFi 192.168.1.1/24 eth0 WAN port DHCP client eth1 LAN port 192.168.1.1/24 wlan0 WiFi 2.4G Disable Base on the OEM(GL.iNet) firmware, the default network configuration is: Interface Name Description Default configuration br-lan LAN & WiFi 192.168.8.1/24 eth0 WAN port DHCP client eth1 LAN port 192.168.8.1/24 wlan0 WiFi 2.4G GL-X300B-xxx Buttons → hardware.button on howto use and configure the hardware button(s).
