Evoluzn FX-ID4

Evoluzn FX-ID4 is a router with four Gigabit Ethernet ports, WIFI4 and WIFI5 wireless, integrated LTE CAT 6 modem in soldered PCB, and single USB 3.0 port.

As of February 21, 2025, OpenWrt support is currently unavailable!

port.serial general information about the serial port, serial port cable, etc.

All serials are 3.3V TTL, 8N1. Serial port pinout is clearly marked on the board. The baudrate is 57600 for AP and 115200 for LTE. Apart from AP and LTE, there is also an unpopulated serial header at the back of PCB. The purpose is currently unknown.

It was observed, that CH340-based USB-UART converters output garbage during U-boot phase of system boot. At least CP2102 is known to work properly, which is widely available in this form:

The Linux part of the modem/router provides an interactive console. The username and password are currently unknown.

The LTE part of the modem/router provides an interactive console. The device running modified version of OpenWrt Barrier Breaker (14.07). The console does not have password and pressing the Enter to activate this console when booting is finished.
