The Netgear Orbi RBR20 is a wireless router powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU, featuring both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands that comply with the 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard (often referred to as Wi-Fi 5). It includes two gigabit Ethernet ports and, like other models in Netgear's Orbi lineup, boasts an extra 5GHz radio dedicated to wireless backhaul. The RBR20 is typically sold as part of a bundle that includes one or two RBS20 satellites for extended coverage.

  1. Peel off bottom label and remove rubber feet on either side
  2. Peel off rear label for the interfaces
  3. Remove rear screws
  4. Separate front and rear shell
  5. Disconnect antennas
  6. Remove motherboard from shell
  7. Remove screws clamping heatsinks together
  8. Remove motherboard shields (shield covering the switch chip will need to be broken)
