Netgear R8000 Nighthawk

Status

  • Stable sur la 18.06.1 release
  • Pour une bonne performance :
    • radio2 5 GHz band (channel 48,country US)

Installation

Pour utiliser votre clé usb formaté en ext4

opkg install kmod-phy-bcm-ns-usb3 (pour usb3 connection)

opkg install kmod-usb-storage kmod-usb3

opkg install block-mount (to mount usbdrive ext4 for example)

Pour le WIFI

Pour que le 5ghz fonctionne bien

  1. opkg install kmod-brcmfmac kmod-brcmutil
  2. regler le country code à: US
  3. regler le canal 48 pour le radio2 wlan2 → SAVE → Reboot

Unbricking

Eviter que votre R8000 ne finisse à la poubelle acheter un petit adaptateur série RS232 Lire https://www.ianthurston.com/tech/bricked-netgear-r8000-recovery/ pour debrick avec un adaptateur serie TTL pour lancer le CFE au boot et lancer le tftpd server pour flasher le firmware officiel netgear.
