Update to latest Adtran/SmartRG Firmware (OPTIONAL)

FYI I chose to fully update the built-in OS to start with (this is probably not needed, I just wanted to be thorough)

  • Plug in power, switch manual switch ON
  • Plug in 10G LAN to laptop ethernet port
  • Plug in 10G WAN port to Internet-active ethernet cable from existing home router
  • Configure:
    • Intellifi Mode: None
    • Operating Mode: Router
    • Admin Password
    • SSID/Password
    • Save
  • Sign into http://192.168.1.1 (or http://router.local) as admin
  • Download the latest Standard firmware file from https://community.adtran.com/s/software-downloads?parentId=aBvTq00000000yGKAQ (you have to create a free account using a non-gmail/yahoo/outlook/free email -- work or school seem to work)
  • Go to Admin - Update - Manual Update - Upload 26.3.5.1 Standard (preserves settings) firmware and Start Upgrade
