Upgrading OpenWrt
If you have already installed OpenWrt and like to reflash for e.g. upgrading to a new OpenWrt version you can upgrade using the mtd command line tool. It is important that you put the firmware image into the ramdisk (/tmp) before you start flashing.
Terminal Upgrade Process
- Login as root via SSH on 192.168.1.1
- Use the following commands to upgrade:
cd /tmp wget --ftp-user=hyraxpublicftp --ftp-password=hyrax7 ftp://intellidesign.no-ip.com:200/upgrade.tar.gz tar -xvzf upgrade.tar.gz ./upgrade.sh
- Allow the system to reboot.

Quick Start Guide
JTAG
Method 1:
- Break into u-boot on the Hyrax unit and enter the following “nand erase 0x0 0x40000”.
- Connect the USB Micro-B cable from the Hyrax unit to the development PC.
- Reboot the unit.
- Start the SAM-BA application and connect to the Hyrax's USB serial port.
Method 2:
- Turn the unit off.
- Hold in the bootloader button located next to the USB Micro-B port on the Hyrax unit as the unit is powered on.
- Connect the USB Micro-B cable from the Hyrax unit to the development PC.
- Start the SAM-BA application and connect to the Hyrax's USB serial port.
