The D-Link COVR-X1860 are MT7621-based AX1800 devices (similar to DAP-X1860, but with two Ethernet ports and external power supply) that are sold in sets of two (COVR-X1862) and three (COVR-X1863).
To get OpenWRT support, a private key from the GPL tarball has been extracted, which is used to create firmware images, which can be flashed in the normal non-recovery mode. After this, hardware support for this device will be added. Custom builds and a patchset is available from the following forum thread

Note: After installing OpenWRT you need to use the port labled “Ethernet” to connect to the web interface.
