Sweex LW160

Unfortunately the dutch people from Sweex modified the httpd daemon to control (or better said prohibit) the web firmware update, so it is not possible to load and boot in any kind of firmware.

But if one doesnt mind to void the warranty and manages to solder GND, RX and TX to a CA-42 phone cable clone, then its possible to flash the openwrt firmware for TP-LINK TL-WR740 (v2.4 and v3) and also TL-WR741 on it.

From left to right: TX , RX , GND , VCC

With original Sweex branded (2.6.15 kernel) firmware the root password is “5up”.
