MikroTik RBSXT2nDr3

Under Construction!
This page is currently under construction. You can edit the article to help completing it.

This device is an outdoor CPE/AP with a directional 10 dbi antenna, a single 100 Mbps fast Ethernet port and a 2.4 GHz bgn WiFi radio.

Generic Router

Install OpenWrt (generic explanation)

Before OpenWRT 19.07:

  1. Follow common instructions on how to temporarily load OpenWrt over TFTP in RAM. You will need a DHCP and TFTP server.
  2. Login to the web interface (http://192.168.1.1), and set a temporary root password.
  3. Using SCP, copy the sysupgrade.bin file to /tmp on the device.
  4. Connect to the device using SSH
  5. Erase the “firmware” mtd partition using the “mtd” command. This will no longer be required once the device is officially supported.
  6. Launch the installation using sysupgrade. The update must currently (as of OpenWrt 18.06.1) be forced because the device has not been added to the white list yet.
    sysupgrade -F /tmp/openwrt-18.06.1-ar71xx-mikrotik-rb-nor-flash-16M-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

As of OpenWRT 19.07:

  1. Follow common instructions on how to temporarily load OpenWrt over TFTP in RAM. You will need a DHCP and TFTP server.
  2. Login to the web interface (http://192.168.1.1), and set a temporary root password.
  3. Launch the installation using the web interface and the “upgrade” file (System → Backup/Flash Firmware → Flash image) as if you were upgrading from one OpenWRT version to the next.
