LB-LINK BL-W1200

The BL-W1200 Wireless Router is based on the MT7620A SoC. It has a 802.11bgn (SoC-integrated) and a 802.11a/ac (Mediatek MT7612E) radios. Router have five Ethernet ports: one 1Gbit (WAN) and four 1Gbit ports (LAN).

OpenWrt in BL-W1200 must be installed in two steps:

  • Apply initramfs image via factory web-gui.
  • Install sysupgrade image.
  • Browse to http://192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/luci/mini/system/upgrade/ LuCI Upgrade URL
  • Upload image file for sysupgrade to LuCI
  • Wait for reboot

If you don't have a GUI (LuCI) available, you can alternatively upgrade via the command line using 'sysupgrade'.

Note: It is important that you put the firmware image into the ramdisk (/tmp) before you start flashing.

sysupgrade

  • Login as root via SSH on 192.168.1.1, then enter the following commands:

Install Stock FW via sysupgrade:

Basic configuration After flashing, proceed with this.
Set up your Internet connection, configure wireless, configure USB port, etc.

LB-LINK BL-W1200 has NO serial connector. But uart RX/TX is connected to two pads of unpopulated R2 resistor. It is possible to solder to those pads. See photo for details.
