At this point he starts to read the nonvol settings - there is a setting inside that will hide the boot process.
Hint: Maybe it's a good idea to break the nvram... :)

Glitching the UART lockdown: Solder a little pulse-switch between HOLD# of the Flash-Chip and GND... and pulse it various times in the bootchain (while it's loading image2 and even when the boot progresses). Eventually it will print out alot of information...
