Installation

NOT SUPPORTED by OpenWrt But check out http://freetz.org/ or https://freetz.github.io/

Also, since this device has the EVA bootloader and AR7, this might run:

https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/18.06.1/targets/ar7/generic/openwrt-18.06.1-ar7-generic-EVA-4.9-squashfs.bin

:!: I haven't tested it yet! But certainly don't just “flash” it! Try booting it through EVA while connected through serial!

Warning about flashing through web interface

:!: To be able to flash unofficial images through the stock web interface, you must be (or downgrade to) a firmware version lower than 6.5x!

Downgrading

To downgrade, simply follow the debricking guide but use this (manufacturer's) tool instead:

FRITZ.Box_Fon_WLAN_7390.AnnexB.06.23.recover-image.exe

:!: After downgrading with this tool, the web UI will be in German!

Debricking

:!: I do not know if a device can be debricked/recovered if you accidentally wipe the bootloader!
