Please choose a file to upgrade

Issue: When trying to flash a ...factory.bin image on a TP-Link device I get Please choose a file to upgrade after I click on Upgrade.

Root cause: Filename is possibly too long.

Solution: Shorten the filename to e.g. openwrt_factory.bin or factory.bin
